Reality 2.10 What's New

Reality 2.10 is based on Unreal® Engine 4.24.3 with new features and improved rendering performance. All of the Compositing, Network, I/O code has been moved to an Unreal plugin, which we were planning to develop for quite some time.

What's New



Unreal® Engine

  • 4.24 merged.
  • Reality Engine is now a plugin.
  • Shader cache is now shipped with Editor distribution, which skips long shader compilations times after first install.
  • Experimental Text3D plugin from Unreal enabled.

Reality Engine

  •  node supports to look at "Flying Camera", along with new debugging tools to show borders.

     node allows you project the keyed talent video into correct scene depth. You can connect   pin to a talent tracking system to automatically update the position of the billboard plane. 

    You can find a TrackedTalent template in Import Template menu.

  •  nodes   property is replaced with   property, which allows consistent default exposure values between Editor and Engine.
  • Improved DOF calibration for Panasonic UE150 lens.


  •  and   nodes are work in progress for 360 Video streaming.

Action Builder

  • New Action Builder plugin: Panasonic PTZ control plugin allows calling preset positions.

Bug Fixes and Improvements



Reality Prerequisite Installer has now significantly smaller file size.

The distribution has only the necessary packages for Windows 10 64bit OS.

Migrating Assets


Upgrading Reality 2.9 or earlier projects to Reality 2.10 might require some migration steps.

Reality Engine is plugin now. Reality Engine content moved to Plugin content. After the upgrade process please redirect your assets to use your project.
